Do this for each virtual machine you have set up, and you should be good to go. Hopefully Parallels will release an update to its software to address this issue.
That seems to have solved the problem for me and I still have Parallels showing the current virtual screen in the dock icon. I haven't changed the Parallels settings at all. So not sure the 100% CPU problem was a Parallels bug or an Apple bug, but the solution to get around it (so far) has been pretty easy. We'll see if the problem comes back after sleep or relaunch. Still a hassle for the general user. Friday (7/26) downloaded 10.6.8 and everything seemed okay. Sat morning (7/27) was launching Parallels (build 12090) and other programs from the dock when the desktop pictures began cycling about every second (was set to cycle every minute). Beach ball began spinning. Could not use Apple menu to shutdown; so used the power switch to shutdown iMac (early 2008). On restart, the dock appeared, dropped off the bottom, came back, dropped off again and stayed off. Deleted dock plist but what came back was only the originally installed icons, tried to restore dock plist from time machine of couple of months ago, but it also dropped off the bottom of the screen.Vitrual Pc 6.0 Osx - News
