Irish clothing is probably the most misconstrued costume because people think of Irish clothes as having a stereotyped look. The misconception could have probably come about because of the image people carry from the immensely popular St. Patrick’s Day in the U.S where Irish dress up to the hilt in traditional dresses.
The modern day Irish clothing is made of the best available materials and fabrics that encompass a huge element of comfort to the wearer. Irish clothing such as hooded capes is popular among the modern generation. They are made of various materials but the ultimate comfort comes from the one made of soft wool. Cashmere is another popular hooded cape material. If you are looking for something that’s more casual but decidedly Irish then the Irish Rugby shirts will suit you fine. You can have the crest of your choice embroidered on your favorite Rugby shirt.
Sweaters are also a popular Irish clothing item. Irish sweaters made of natural wool were originally used by fishermen to keep sea-spray and rain at bay. Because of their comfort factor, these sweaters have now become popular Irish fashion clothing. Besides being extremely comfortable to wear they also keep you very warm. Of course, they look smashingly good too on any occasion. Irish sweaters are available in Cardigan, Crew or Lumber style. They are very chic and modern in looks.
Fine Irish clothing will look incomplete if they are not supported by the right type of accessories. Patch teed cap or even a handcrafted cap made of 100% natural wool can make your clothes look hip and happening. He caps are rugged and lasts long but they are extremely comfortable. Traditional Irish clothing also uses caps as an important accessory for various occasions.
Irish knitwear is an extremely popular wear used commonly by the Irish people on all occasions. Knitwear use exclusive yarns that are 100% natural. Continuous innovations in designs are made by the manufacturers adding to their style value and popularity. You can consider buying something useful and elegant as the knitwear wrap with pockets. They are cozy and warm and can even be used as a shawl during the chilly winters of Ireland. The pockets can be used to keep the hands warm and comfortable.
