My sympts. are nausea extreme pain below ribs in the center ...
The pains are so intense i have been in the ER more than once, ive had these pains since 8th grade and now im a senior in high school. Then they werent as bad and i could handle them, now everytime i get them i feel like im dying. Every test has been negative or normal and its becoming so frustrating!! I went for a CCK hida scan and now im wating for results. I am going to college next year and i want these pains to go away…instead however, they are becoming worse and more frequent. It used to be every 6months about..then every 3 months..now over thanksgiving week i was in the ER twice! i need an answer!
Answer by leigha It sounds like it might be gallbladder (I haven’t had mine removed, but I’ve had the same symptoms off and on w/a positive diagnosis). Since you’ve had the blood tests, have you discussed changing your diet with your dr? If it is undiagnosed gallbladder, or you suspect it is, cut down on the fat content in your diet. Strip your meals down to mild starches and lean protein and vegetables (get some fiber in there) and then layer in your other, favorite foods one by one. Also, give up drinking alcohol and smoking or other drugs, if necessary
Another factor in my pain management has been exercising, since I have an anxiety disorder as well. For this, I have started yoga and going to the gym 3/4 times a week, which does miracles for my bowel trouble (particularly the yoga, I know this sounds weird, but my stomach FEELS grateful after yoga)…Check any of these strategies with your Dr. These tactics have controlled my symptoms as I am reluctant to have the surgery. I hope you feel better!
