Shift Electrician
To carry out a wide range of electrical repairs planned preventive maintenance and new work to a high standard. Working on own initiative when applicable or as part of the maintenance team. Where competent to carry out testing inspection and certification of electrical installations and portable appliances.Performs work including activities that may be demanding, complex and / or non-routine.
Responsible for testing and fault finding on engineering plant and equipment (Electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, building control & automation, standby generator plant, security access control &CCTV systems, nurse call systems etc.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and testing in accordance with SFS's procedures.
Complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary.
Undertakes electrical testing and monitors results to ensure compliance with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671. Requesting remedial works or emergency isolations as and when required.
Responsible for undertaking Electrical installations in accordance with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671.
Immediately notifies the Engineering Supervisor of any deviation from the regulations.
Follows detailed engineering drawings and specifications under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Technician.
Provide training, technical advice and support to Trainees and Maintenance Assistants Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade.

Shift Worker allows users to combine visually-attractive icons with descriptive characters, then plot them on the calendar so their shifts can be easily identified at a glance. Shifts can then be shared with friends and family or saved to the iPhone’s background for quick reference.
Features at a glance: In addition to standard shifts, rotations can also be applied to the calendar. Users select the length of their rotation, then add shifts and apply that rotation to the calendar. This process allows a year’s worth of shifts to be filled in very quickly.
Notes can also be added to any date on the calendar in the same way as adding shifts. Different colors can be used to represent different types of notes for easier visual reference.
